I just checked the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG news on ManjyomeThunder (like I always do), in hopes of seeing some updates on upcoming booster packs and whatnot. And I did see at least one update. But I never expected it to be one that would be amazing an unbelieveable at the same time.

The Creator God of Light, Hoarkhty... is gonna be an actual card!

Is this going to be a good thing or a bad thing among Yu-Gi-Oh! fans such as myself? Well, let's see:

The Good:

When summoning it from the hand, it requires you to sacrifice Slifer, Obelisk, and Ra when they're on the field at the same time. This is a good thing, because all three Gods need three sacrifices to be Normal Summoned. Therefore, it makes Horakhty more difficult to summon.
It has unknown (?) ATK and DEF, which are 0 when on the field.
It will possibly not grant the player a victory if cards such as "Skill Drain" are on the field.

The Bad:

Fairly overpowered effect. Giving the player an automatic win when it's summoned may be good, but it's always the possible sign for status change. I suspect it'll become Limited, at the least.
It's most likely a limited edition, and can only go out to certain people. That means when the offer's gone, it's gone (except for when it hopefully appears in the video games).

So yeah, that's all I have to say, I guess.

Kingdom Hearts Chaos: The TOTAL CRACK Edition

Things I'm Thankful For - RiffTube #7

Today's Thanksgiving, a.k.a. the time of year where we give our thanks to the freedom the Pilgrims (and the Native Americans, thank you very much) gave to us long ago. We here at The Psychotic Blog of Psychid would, too, like to celebrate this event with a very special:

I am thankful that although Nina Harper is the show's antagonist (and overall spoiled snob), the creators of Braceface had enough common sense to make her so damn cute.

I am thankful that the creators of Pound Puppies also made Brattina Stoneheart a cute little bitch (and I do mean cute), without them actually realizing it. I'm also thankful that the voice of Ursula plays Katrina.

I am thankful that even though Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL is a total suck-fest, they at least made Kaito Tenjo a character who is not annoying (unlike some people).

I'm almost glad one of my favorite artists interrupted one of my somewhat least favorite artists in 2009. If he didn't then he wouldn't have made something as awesome as this.

And the final thing I'm thankful for:

I am definitely glad I didn't watch the only movie to perform the "Razzie Grand Slam".

You'll Never Know What I'll Come Across - RiffTube #6

Remember the contest I told you about in the previous post? I think it's over now, and I highly doubt I won. But I'm not gonna make a fuss about it.

However, I am truly, truly, truly sorry that I haven't posted a damn thing for over a month now! I was extremely with college and fan fiction, y'know? But I've managed to find some time to post another edition of the YouTube mockery everyone loves, this one featuring videos I randomly came across!

This the long-awaited, sixth edition of...

RiffTube

This was pretty much the first episode that got me into the I.N.K. fandom. This episode in particular starts with Newton sabotaging the school's "cook-o-matic" (as it's evidently called) to make him sugary, artery-clogging foods, and is punished by being forced to eat healthy foods for a whole week. The show's antagonist, Sadie MacBeth, the idea of sabotaging all of the students' foods to get them to be her slaves.

How does she do it, you may ask? Why, by making a ducky (pun intended) documentary with a hidden sublimal message about all foods served in the school tasting like feces, of course!

Also, this episode's "Science Club" segment a crude doodle of Sadie foolishly eating spicy foods, drinking lots of water, and then eating bread, thus giving her diahrea. Now that's something you don't see in cartoons like this!

I honestly don't remember when I first saw Sally Bollywood. I think it was when I was watching I.N.K.-related, but I dunno. I also don't think this is the very same video that made me discover Bollywood. But anyway:

For those of you who don't know, it's a show about a female Indian detective, who goes on mysteries accompanied by her Ginger accomplise. It's almost surprising how the mysteries' culprits actually feel guilty about their crimes. I was hoping they would be something like: "Curse you, Sally Bollywood! And I would've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!"

On an additional note, Sally's accent sounds more British than it does Indian. ...In a way, that sort of makes sense, seeing that Britian and India hated each others' guts.

I actually came across this a couple years ago. This, ladies and gentlemen, is part one of a ten-part series of what you might call an "abridged" version of The Adventures of Captain Planet, created by coolnewkids. I'm sure you know at this point that I am very much a Captain Planet fan, and you're probably thinking that I'm offended by the edits they make to ridicule the show itself. Actually, I find them to be pretty hilarious.

I actually found this a few days ago when I was watching some Animusic music videos. I really liked this, mainly because I remember hearing the song a few years ago. I was especially impressed by how well the animator made the video itself!

...But sadly, since the entire robot band forgot to take the lid off the popcorn maker (thus resulting in the explosion you see), we probably won't be seeing any more videos from them. May this band rest in peace.

When I first logged on to YouTube, I saw the advertisement of the LaLaLoopsy doll franchise right on my homepage. And aww, they look so cute, what with their rosy cheeks, and their cute voices, and their adorable clothing, and OH MY GOD THEY HAVE BUTTONS FOR EYES AHH AHH AHHHH

SON OF A MOTHER DUCK

First off, I am very, very, very sorry for not updating this blog in a while. I've just been extremely busy with college and whatnot. What's worse, I'm not sure if I'll be able to post a RiffTube this Friday because of my stress. Guess we'll all have to wait until next week!

But that's not my main point.

My main point is, I just got an e-mail from this "Natalie Richards" person, and she apparently loved this blog. I don't know why exactly she loves it, or how the hell she managed to find it. But it's true. And she's offering me to put it up for nomination in her contest, where the top five winners receive an Amazon Kindle.

As much as I want to enter, I don't want to really win the prize, because:

Seeing that the prize may be delivered, it would mean giving out my real name to the online public. You probably don't know this, but I have severe Internet privacy issues.
My sister already owns a Kindle.

Basically, I'm doing this just for the hell of it.

Unbelievable! - RiffTube #5

Have you ever come across certain videos, cartoons, or television shows in which some parts are unbelievable to you? Well, that's the main subject in this week's edition of...

I cannot believe that in this episode of Captain Planet and the Planeteers, the producers actually get away with someone nearly bleeding to death, and actually dies from the overdose of "Bliss", the episode's designer drug. ...Then again, this isn't too surprising--it accurately portrays what can happen when someone goes crazy with drugs. Just one of the many reasons why I love this show so much.

I can't believe that Sharon Spitz actually believes in martians, when clearly it is a lifeless planet. And to think this show accurately depicted teenage life! I can, however, believe that the best practical jokes Sharon can come up with are ones that are far beyond old-fashioned. She must really be kept living in the past, like some people I know.

I cannot believe that this episode of I.N.K. - Invisible Network of Kids got away with Newton becoming gay! I mean, come on! The fact that he wants Burt to love him obviously means that Newton has an undying love--not for the opposite sex, but for the same one! That's something you don't see in kid's cartoons nowadays...

I can't believe people into Yu-Gi-Oh! like me would think the Xyz Monsters (once known as the Exceed Monsters) are too flashy and cliché. I agree that they're flashy, but they're actually pretty useful. That's because:

See? The summon of an Xyz Monster = piece of cake!

Though I haven't seen Birdemic: Shock and Terror, this guy has a point. If you have watched Birdemic, you'll most likely be thinking one of these two statements, or both statements:

I cannot believe that I wasted how many bucks I paid to see a low-budget, poor-quality piece of crap like this!
I cannot believe that James Nguyen would be stupid and cheap enough to create a low-budget, poor-quality piece of crap like this!

I only thank the gods of movie mockery for destroying this.

The Tenth Year of the 9/11 Attacks

As the title implies, today marks the ten-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Almost everywhere I go on the Internet, I see articles that mostly commemerate those who lost their lives on that fateful day. So I thought: why not have The Psychotic Blog of Psychid join the in-crowd?

I, myself, wasn't at the exact location of the attacks, nor was the rest of my household family. I did, however, hear or read the news about them, and they were tragic. If only I knew flash animation earlier--then I would've made a music video to Jamiraquoi's Deeper Underground, with footage that's kind of like the terrorist attacks. ...Maybe next year, I suppose... or not...

However, I will say this to those who witnessed losing their loved ones during those attacks: I am sorry that your loved ones' lives had to end so quickly. You all didn't deserve that--nobody does. May the lost ones rest in eternal peace.

College and Wikis and Riffs! Oh My! - RiffTube #4

Before we continue with this week's RiffTube, some things you probably should be aware of (or not):

My Fall 2011 Semester at college is pretty tougher than I thought, especially with the CIS 220 online class I have to take. ...Then again, that probably is what you should expect in your college senior year (yes, my college is a two-year community college). But don't worry, guys; I'll find a way to pull through!
Yesterday I created a Wiki of my own, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction Wiki (can be seen here). I already know that Wikis like this already exist, but I asked the Wikia Central Community if they could let me do this, and they agreed (so long as I don't plagiarize). There's not much to see on the Wiki now, but hopefully more will come!

And that's it for the stuff you should be aware of. Now for business:

This post's title was originally going to be called Racists and Stereotypes and Clichés! Oh My! because I was gonna post cartoons and stuff other people would either find racist, stereotypical, or overrated. That, my dear readers, is the main subject of this week's...

If you were to create the most sexist, stereotypical, and overrated cartoon you could imagine, what would you include? A dreaded Mary-Sue protagonist who becomes a damsel in distress on an average daily basis? A villain whose physical appearance has no relation to their name? Or how about a mob that act as heroes who have absolutely no idea what they're doing?

Well, The Perils of Penelope Pitstop has all of that, and more! This includes annoying ragtime piano music (which sort of adds to the whole "stereotypical damsel in distress" thing), along with a voiceover narrator who occasionally states the obvious and repeats what he says every now and then!

Well, that cartoon can't be that bad, I guess. At least the protagonist doesn't have an annoying "Southern Belle" accent, or--oh, wait, she does...

Shit.

Holy mother of God, do I even want to know what the hell this is?! A Christian-friendly song that isn't racist, yet has this video which stereotypes Native Americans, the presumably Chinese, and African-Americans? And to make matters worse, the puppet children of the damned say that Jesus hasn't forgotten about Hispanics/Mexicans, yet didn't say he forgot about the Arabians, Irish, Russians, French, or all the other races in the world!

And as if those weren't bad enough, they inaccurately depict African-Americans as zombies. Oh, those sick, hypocritical, cheap bastards...

Actually, I don't find this video to be racist as the one above, although I demand an explanation as to why a Japanese is living with an all-black family.

The cartoon itself isn't racist at all. But this episode in particular introduces Sharon's grandfather, who makes racist and prejudice remarks towards her friends, who is then accused of being a racist. I think I enjoy Braceface as much as I enjoy Captain Planet--not only does this show accurately depict teenage life, but it also shows how bad racism is in the world. I'd give this show two thumbs up.

Also, Maria Wong is Chinese? She looked more Japanese to me...

My guess as to why this cartoon was banned was because it was made during WWII, back when Japan was one of our main enemies. Well, at least it beats Pwn Japan II.

80's Atrocities - RiffTube #3

I'm sure most of you remember the 80's, am I right? The cartoons, the music, the fashions--who could forget? Comparing the media of then to the media of today, you'll most likely prefer the 80's, since they were "much better than the media of today".

Today, I'm here to prove those people wrong (in most cases).

That's the main subject of the third installment of...

Remember the theme song to this cartoon I posted in the very first RiffTube, and how I mentioned that only one episode was created? Well, here is that very episode, with proof that it was indeed one of the worst cartoons ever made. "But Psychid!" you'll probably be wondering. "How could The Yum Yums possibly be one of the worst cartoons ever made?" Good question:

The theme song is annoying as hell (as you probably already guessed)
Lemon Lion completely sucks at using his "lemon drop" magic
In one point of the episode, the computer that locates Sour City answers "I don't know!" to a question (which is definitely something a high-tech supercomputer would say, instead of something like "Location unknown!")
Most of the characters, more specifically the Yum Yums themselves, sound like they've inhaled too much helium

There's possibly more, but I don't think I can list any.

Also, when the children are screaming and crying at the Yum Yums carnival, they're actually screaming and hollering to go home, after their parents forcefully sent them there. And made them wait until the carnival opens. "But we've been waiting here for five hours!" one of them cries. "Five hours with no food, no water, no rest, nothing! Someone please call the authorities!"

Rod, let me just say this: your looks are almost as good as Rebecca Black's singing.

The first episode of Captain Planet and the Planeteers I saw was during its all-new season, The Newer Adventures of Captain Planet. Even today, I'm a Captain Planet fan. Sure, its antagonists' names are annoying puns, and even more annoying puns come from its icon character, Captain Planet (as you may have guessed, the cartoon is infamous for its overuse of bad puns). But why I like this show so much is that it manages to balance out the action and adventure you see in most cartoons with environmentally-friendly education. It also includes some "Planeteer Alerts", which are tips to protect our environment, at the end of each episode.

Speaking of which, this episode in particular introduces the most dangerous Captain Planet villain and Gaia's archrival, Zarm. He comes to Earth and tricks the Planeteers (four out of five, anyway), into using his weapons for his destructive desires. This causes Gaia to become mortal, and nearly dies from what appeared to be cinder blocks that sound like wooden blocks. ...Strange, if you ask me.

But seriously; if any of you have cable with Boomerang at home, I absolutely recommend this. And as for the episode's focus antagonist, instead of bitching about animated characters who clearly don't exist, I'm gonna go ahead and declare Zarm as one of the greatest animated villains of all time.

My God, is this what I think it is?! A guy wearing nothing but a cowboy hat and cowboy boots raping a Native American woman standing by a cactus?! Who lets him fuck her, even?! I'm almost glad this is one of the worst games ever made!

This was actually made in 1990. However, it did feature 80's cartoon icons (i.e. Garfield, the Smurfs, Muppet Babies, etc.) as the main protagonists who try to convince this one girl's older brother to stop taking drugs. I think I remember watching this a couple years ago, and enjoyed it. But now as I look back at it, Alvin and the Chipmunks' voices are almost as annoying as the Yum Yums', the songs are totally meh, and I overall think this so-called "anti drug abuse special" drove people to drugs than it prevented. If you want to see what I mean, take a look.

Also, if I remember correctly:

Donatello of the TMNT was the member who was totally baked
ALF was once a crack addict

It almost makes Reefer Madness look like The King's Speech!

Well, would you look at this? My current fan fiction actually gets mentioned on deviantART! I honestly don't know what to say about this... probably just that this is the very first time anyone's ever mentioned my stories on sites other than FanFiction.Net (and in a good way, even)! AT LAST, MY QUEST OF BECOMING AN INTERNET MAN-WHORE BEGINS!

...Okay, not really...

College and Comedy - RiffTube #2

As the title implies, I'm back in my second year of college. So far, all of my classes seem okay, although my Fall 2011 Semester seems slightly more difficult than that of last year. Fortunately, I'm one who's most likely able to pull through these kinds of things. And I'm having some professors I've had before, so everything's gonna be all right.

But now, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the second installment of...

RiffTube

1.

I have mixed feelings for I.N.K. - Invisible Network of Kids. After watching a couple of episodes, I'd call a total rip-off of Codename: Kids Next Door, except set in a boarding school. ...And yet, there's just something about that cartoon that seems to entertain me. Probably because Zero's the most badass character in it.

Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing for this video in particular. Its plotline is completely cliché and overrated, the "graphics" look like they were edited on Microsoft Paint (a.k.a. the lowest of all art applications), and the fact that the song used in this video is played over and over and over again.

The worst part of it is, this video has more likes than it has dislikes (nine likes and one dislike, the dislike coming from me). It's like it's brainwashing defenseless viewers, just like the Twilight movies and Barney and Friends!

After watching this video, and others like it, you now have one of two options:

1. Senselessly bash on other users just because they like what is seen on Disney Channel and are actually sane about it (or who still remember the Disney of yesterday), being almost as bad as hating people because of race, religion, and/or ethnic background.

Or...

2. Change the fucking channel.

I'd stick with number two.

Are there no fans of Glenn Martin, DDS? Then what do you call this?

Is it me, or did I just see a black guy portray a Chinese stereotype, and actually get away with it? If that's the case, then I'm gonna declare this as one of the greatest In Living Color sketches ever made.

Unlike Bucky and Pepito, I actually know why Paddy the Pelican was one of the worst cartoons ever made. It featured muffled voicing, characters who wouldn't shut the hell up, occasional "TOO BRIGHT!" and "TOO DARK!" moments, and one scene (in this particular "episode") where a piggy bank was lightly tossed up into the air and gently fell down on the fox's head, still managing to give him severe head trauma.

I guess it's about time I tell you a little about myself. I'll gladly do that, but I will not, I repeat, I will not reveal any personal information about myself. This is the Internet, and you can never be too careful.

Anyway, my name is Psychid (as if that wasn't obvious enough), and I am the creator of The Psychotic Blog of Psychid (as if that wasn't obvious enough, either). I was born on July 20, 1992, meaning I am nineteen years old at the time I'm writing this. I'm mildly autistic, which is both a good and bad thing for me. It's good because I have a unique talent in music (I taught myself to play the piano/keyboard, and play it exceptionally well). At the same time, my autism's bad because it makes me super-sensitive, and what I say occasionally comes out jumbled up.

I am currently a college student at the Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3, for short), where my major is Web Design. I go back this upcoming Thursday, and it's going to be my final year. After I graduate, I don't know what I'll do afterwards. Maybe my college advisor can help me with this.

It's Finally Here! - RiffTube #1

Everyone, today's Friday. Not only does that mark the day of my current fan fiction, Yu-Gi-Oh! 6W's, being updated, but it also marks the day of The Psychotic Blog of Psychid's very first-ever...

Here, we take five of YouTube's many videos, most of them bad to God-awful, and I, the amazing Psychid, adds some snarky commentary to them! It's just that simple, and will provide almost anyone with plenty of laughs! But remember: not all the featured videos will be bad. Such videos will receive a hint of snarkiness, though not as harsh as the others.

Alright, here we go!

1. all justin bieber haters suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember "watching" this video just this Monday. Note how I put "watching" in quotation marks, given the fact I didn't actually "watch" it, but rather read the comments to see how awful it truly was. ...But I must say; this video was half as ill-received as its meme counterpart. But it was still as ill-received, and it's just as unmotivational.

Lady, I'll have you know that I'm a Kanye West fan (I'm serious about this), and you don't see me acting like a fan-bitch about it!

2. Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust - Trailer

I'm sure everyone's familiar with Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust at this point. It was one of the worst video games ever created, noting its glitches, its repetitive gameplay, and its humor so atrocious, I'm sure even Jeff Dunham would disapprove of it. And yet, for some reason unknown to man, I find myself to enjoy this trailer of the game (in particular). I don't know why, but I do.

And yes, I modeled my avatar after Larry Loveage from that game in particular. I only did it because this Larry bears a striking resemblance to me in real life (er, kind of).

3. The Yum Yums Theme Song

A cartoon whose overall theme revolves around foods and sweets that are unhealthy for children everywhere, whose introduction would lead almost anyone to insanity. Just what this world needs.

Also, if I'm correct, only one episode of The Yum Yums was created. God, I hope I'm right.

4. Grandmother Prays For Sick Puppet

"Flu bug, pack your bag and go!" Hey, next time I have something like salmonella poisoning, I'll just say something like: "Hey, salmonella poisoning! Why don't you kindly piss off and find some other sucker to infect?" That'll cure me much faster than today's modern medicine!

5. Bucky and Pepito - The Vexin' Texan

Aside from the Chinese jackrabbit, I don't really see how Bucky and Pepito is that bad to a point where it's one of the worst cartoons ever made.

A Big Surprise in the Forbidden/Limited Lists

If you're a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan(atic) such as myself, then you might be interested in reading this. If not, then you might want to read someone else's blog. Anyway...

You know how the Forbidden/Limited Lists for the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG/TCG are updated twice a year on the first day of March and September? Well, the September 2011 Lists have been posted just today. "Heavy Storm", a fan-favorite that was once "Forbidden", is now "Limited". But there's another card that has been banned for so long, it really surprised me to see it in the Limited section:

That's right, ladies and gentlemen; after being in the "Forbidden" section for six years straight, "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" is now "Limited". ...Actually, I'm pretty excited about this, even if this really isn't much of one of my "favorite" cards. At least they didn't legalize its truly broken counterpart.

Speaking of which, "Judgment Dragon", a slightly broken card that was once Semi-Limited, is now Unlimited. Unbelievable.

Fortunately, for my current fan fiction, Yu-Gi-Oh! 6W's, I don't think I used any Forbidden cards prior to the September '11 Lists. So that means reviewers will most likely not flame me with crap like "INSERT NAME OF FORBIDDEN CARD HERE is Forbidden, dumbass!" ...Of course, I probably can't say the same for the March 2012 Lists that'll be posted (yes, I know they'll be posted next year).

Greetings, fellow Blogspot readers! My name is Psychid, and you may have known me from sites like FanFiction.Net, YouTube, and the Total Drama Wiki!

You're probably wondering why I've decided to create a blog like the one you're seeing now. Excellent question. It's probably because this is one of the most popular blog-making websites ever, and the fact I'm one to occasionally join the in-crowd. ...I hope that's a reasonable answer... :P

What is This Blog For?

This very blog will help you keep up-to-date with my projects, whether they be fan fictions I am currently or plan on writing, videos I may make, or even flash animations or games (ironically enough, I don't know flash yet)!

And speaking of videos, every Friday (starting next week) will feature the weekly RiffTube! What is RiffTube, you may ask? Given the fact RiffTube is an obvious pun of YouTube (as if that wasn't obvious enough), it'll be about me adding some snarky comments to any YouTube videos users like you may find offensive, insulting, or just plain bad! These will also episodes of cartoons posted online, music videos, or pointless rants! It'll be like The Comics Curmudgeon, in a way! :D

However, not all YouTube videos I comment about will be bad. There will be some videos that I actually find enjoyable! Such videos will still get a little hint of snarkiness, but it won't be as harsh as the ones that are already bad. ;)
